In another update coming from Hamad International Airport in Qatar, all flight operations remain suspended/are temporarily stopped due to the closure of Qatari airspace. It’s a precautionary step and the closure comes from wider regional security tensions that have led Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority to take the measure. All commercial movements are grounded until further notice.Hamad airport is among the world’s busiest international aviation hubs which links Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. As per current update, the airport is not processing scheduled commercial flights and authorities have made it clear that operations will only resume after Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) confirms its safe to do so.The official advisory by Hamad International Airport on X released on March 2, reads:“The safety of our passengers and employees is our top priority. Passengers are advised not to proceed to the airport. Flight operations at Hamad International Airport remain temporarily suspended and will resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace. Passengers are encouraged to continue checking our official channels and to contact their respective airlines for the latest up to date advice.
