According to a Wall Street Journal report, the company recently announced that its board has approved a plan that will result in job cuts. The report claims that the action camera maker plans to cut 23% of its workforce, affecting around 145 employees out of a total headcount of 631 at the end of the first quarter. The company is reportedly planning to complete the layoffs by the end of the year, with the process expected to commence in the second quarter.GoPro said it expects to incur charges between $11.5 million and $15 million related to the restructuring plan, including severance payments and healthcare benefits. Earlier, the company’s CEO and founder, Nicholas Woodman, told analysts that it was facing “macroeconomic pressures,” including tariffs and higher memory costs, as well as supply constraints.
