FINNEAS finds Justin Timberlake’s DUI arrest footage ‘funnier than' he had ever imagined

Hollywood actor and singer Justin Timberlake has found himself in the middle of a scandal on the internet once again, and this time, the issue is nothing new. Police bodycam footage from his 2024 DUI arrest just dropped in March 2026, after a long legal fight to keep it private. Now, what used to be a dramatic headline has turned into a full-blown viral moment. However, the story got a ‘fun’ touch when FINNEAS joined the conversation. Billie Eilish’s brother is never known to be shy about sharing his opinions online. So, he jumped in, watched the video, and delivered his two cents about it.Let’s break it down.

FINNEAS’ reaction to Justin Timberlake’s video

In the video, Timberlake looks rattled, keeps stumbling over the sobriety tests (“These are, like, hard tests,” he says at one point), and tells the cops his heart’s racing. He even tries to explain that he was just following friends home from a restaurant. Now, this is where FINNEAS comes in. Right after the footage started making the rounds, he posted that it was “funnier than I had ever imagined.”That one comment went viral on the internet. Some people understood the humor behind his comment. However, some pushed back, saying a DUI (driving under the influence) isn’t a joke, and making fun of it just misses the point about how serious drunk driving really is.

Justin Timberlake’s DUI arrest: What happened?

Per AP News, back on June 18, 2024, police in Sag Harbor, New York, pulled Timberlake over. He’d run a stop sign and was swerving all over the road. The officers said he looked out of it: bloodshot eyes, slow speech, shaky on his feet. Timberlake told them he’d only had “one martini,” but he couldn’t pass the field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer. They cuffed him and took him in. The arrest made headlines right away, especially after reports that Timberlake said, “This could ruin the tour,” since he was in the middle of a world tour at the time. The case dragged on for months. By September, Timberlake pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, driving while his ability was impaired, so he dodged a bigger criminal conviction. He paid a USD 500 fine, did 25 hours of community service, lost his license for three months, and had to warn people about drunk driving in a public message. He owned up to the mistake and declared, for the sake of his fans and followers, not to make the same one. However, he didn’t want the bodycam video out there. In 2026, Timberlake tried to keep it sealed, saying it would damage his reputation and invade his privacy. After he lost that fight, a redacted version hit the internet on March 20, 2026.
