ROHTAK: The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) has begun the registration process for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2026 academic session. Admissions will be conducted through the All India Selection Test (AIST 2026).Candidates can submit applications online through the institute’s official admissions portal.Eligibility Criteria and Age LimitsFor undergraduate programmes, applicants must have completed Class 12 in any stream from a recognized board. Students appearing for their Class 12 examinations in 2026 are also eligible to apply. The maximum age limit for undergraduate applicants is 25 years as of July 1, 2026.For postgraduate programmes, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Those in their final year of graduation may also apply. There is no age limit for admission to master’s degree programmes.Courses Offered and Key DatesThe undergraduate programmes available are:• B.Des. in Footwear Design and Production• B.Des. in Fashion DesignAt the postgraduate level, the institute offers an MBA in Retail and Fashion Merchandise.The last date to submit the online application without a late fee is April 20, 2026. Applications with a late fee will be accepted until April 30, 2026. The AIST 2026 entrance examination is scheduled to be held on May 10, 2026.Application Process and Additional InformationApplicants are required to register through the admissions section of the institute’s website, complete the online form with personal and academic details, and pay the registration fee online. A copy of the submitted application form should be retained for reference.Established in 1986 under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, FDDI offers programmes in footwear, fashion, and retail-related fields.
