FASTag annual pass price going up from tomorrow: New price, details

The cost of using the FASTag annual pass is set to go up from April 1, 2026, as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) revises its pricing. The prepaid toll plan, which was introduced last year to simplify highway travel, will now cost Rs 3,075 annually, up by Rs 75 from its earlier price of Rs 3,000.Launched in August 2025, the FASTag annual pass was designed to offer convenience to regular highway users by reducing the need for frequent recharges. The plan allows users to make a one-time payment that covers either one year of travel or up to 200 toll crossings, whichever limit is reached first. The revision in pricing has been made in line with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, as per the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).

The scheme has seen steady adoption since its rollout, with over 56 lakh users opting for the annual pass so far. It is applicable only for private, non-commercial vehicles such as cars, jeeps and vans, and can be used across around 1,150 toll plazas on national highways and expressways. To purchase the FASTag annual pass, users can visit the official MoRTH or NHAI website, or use the Rajmarg Yatra mobile application. After entering vehicle details and the FASTag ID, users can complete the payment through options such as UPI, net banking, or debit and credit cards. Once the transaction is successful, the pass is linked to the existing FASTag, and a confirmation is sent via SMS to the registered mobile number.
