Talking to Variety in a recent interview, Furnish discussed how his husband, Elton John, is powering through his health issues. He stated that the veteran musician is powering through his issues and facing them head-on.“He’s great. He’s battling on. He’s keeping busy and moving forward,” he stated, also adding that John is prioritizing being with his family at home over everything else. “He’s happy being at home as a family with our sons. That’s why he came off the road. We really love parenting, we love our family, and we love being together, and that’s everything for us,” he further quipped, sharing a rare detail about their otherwise private lifestyle.
About Elton John’s health issues
In November last year, the 78-year-old star opened up about his health issues. While being interviewed by Variety, the star stated that after contracting an eye infection in France, both of his eyes had been affected. While he lost vision in his right eye, his left eye vision was also quite weak. Beyond all of this, the musician focused on the good things, stating, “I’ve had the most incredible life, and there is hope. I’ve just gotta be patient that someday science will help me with this one. Once they help me with this one, I’ll be fine.”

While the two have been together since 2005, they legally married in 2014 on their 9th anniversary. The couple also has two children: Zachary, who is 15, and Elijah, who is 13.
