Dubai Airports update March 19: Air India schedules 48 West Asia flights; IndiGo resumes Dubai operations

In a recent update, the world’s one of the busiest aviation hubs, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gradually resuming operation amid escalating regional tensions in the Gulf. The airports at Dubai are operating limited flights following clearance from the authorities. It is a major step toward restoring normalcy at Dubai Airports. Air India update: 48 flights across West Asia on March 19As per Air India official updates, the airline and its subsidiary Air India Express will operate a total of 48 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from West Asia on March 19. In recent days, Air India had temporarily stopped Dubai operations because of safety concerns.The airline took to X and informed, “Air India and Air India Express will together operate 48 scheduled and non-scheduled flights, to and from the West Asia region on 19 March 2026.” IndiGo updateSimilarly, IndiGo also confirmed that flights to and from Dubai resumed effective 1600 hrs (DXB local time) on March 18. The airline also mentioned that on March 19, several flights are scheduled to operate. IndiGo also mentioned that the airline is monitoring the situation as passenger safety remains their priority. In its advisory, the airline has asked customers to check real-time flight status before heading to the airport and highlighted the availability of dedicated support channels for affected passengers.The airline took to X and released a Travel Advisory which reads,

“Following the latest update from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, flight operations to and from Dubai have resumed with effect from 1600 hrs (DXB local time) on 18 March 2026.As part of ongoing efforts to reunite customers with their loved ones, flights mentioned in below table are scheduled to operate tomorrow, in line with prevailing safety conditions and necessary regulatory approvals. Customers are advised to check their flight status http://bit.ly/31paVKQ before leaving for the airport for the latest updates. A dedicated support desk is also available at our contact center to assist those impacted by recent disruptions. The situation continues to be monitored closely, with all decisions guided by the safety and well-being of customers and crew.
