'Dragon' UPDATE: Tovino Thomas no longer part of Jr NTR film; 'Pallichattambi' actor REVEALS the reason
Tovino Thomas has confirmed he will not be part of Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s ‘Dragon’ due to date allocation issues, preferring to focus on projects that can be completed within three months.

Tovino Thomas is certainly going places after the success of ‘Lokah: Chapter 1’ and there were reports that he would be part of the upcoming Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel‘s ‘Dragon’. Now, in a press meet held in Hyderabad, Tovino Thomas confirmed that he is no longer acting in the big Telugu film.

Tovino Thomas explains his decision

As reported by Hindustan Times, Tovino was asked about ‘Dragon’ during the promotional event. He said, “It is really hard to allocate dates, so I am not doing it.”He went on to explain his working style, “I don’t do multiple films at the same time. In Malayalam, we usually complete a film in a single schedule. But in Telugu, it takes almost a year to finish one project. That’s why I’m not doing straight Telugu films. I can commit 3 months, not an entire year.”

No rift with Dulquer Salmaan

In another press meet held in Chennai, Tovino was asked about rumours of tension with Dulquer Salmaan. He laughed off the question and replied, “Oh, they didn’t talk about me? Then I should probably call Dulquer and ask him why!” He made it clear there was never any problem between them. The ‘Pallichattambi’ actor added, “Dulquer and I have known each other for a long time. I actually worked as an assistant director on one of his films.” Tovino also said Dulquer has always been very friendly and supportive and together they will be seen next in ‘Lokah: Chapter 2’.

Busy with ‘Pallichattambi’

Right now, Tovino is fully focused on promoting ‘Pallichattambi’ which is set to hit theatres on April 10. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Jana Gana Mana’ fame Dijo Jose Antony is directing it and Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead. Meanwhile, the song from ‘Pallichattambi’, titled ‘Kaattuchembakam’ received good responses from the audiences.
