BTSC JE recruitment 2026 extended: The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has extended the registration window deadline for the Junior Engineer (JE) recruitment 2026 after candidates reported technical difficulties on the application portal.The recruitment drive aims to fill 2,809 Junior Engineer posts in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical disciplines across various government departments in Bihar.Eligible candidates can apply through the official website btsc.bihar.gov.in. Earlier, the last date for submitting applications was January 12, 2026. But, following requests received from applicants regarding issues faced during form submission, the commission has decided to extend the deadline. The new last date to apply online is January 30, 2026.It is also recommended that the applicants check the eligibility criteria and educational qualification before applying for the recruitment drive.
BTSC JE recruitment 2026: Vacancy details and eligibility criteria
According to the official notification, the vacancies are distributed across three engineering trades. Candidates must hold a diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution to be eligible for the respective post.
The age limit for applicants is 18 to 37 years as on the cut-off date. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with government norms.
