Spotted in Malibu, the singer appeared to be going about her day, a few weeks after her apprehension for reckless driving under the influence. Her legal team has acknowledged the incident, emphasizing her commitment to addressing the situation and focusing on her sons.

A few weeks earlier, singer Britney Spears had made headlines after she was arrested for a DUI charge and released the next day. Since then, her legal representatives issued a short notice stating that the singer is aware of her wrongdoings and will spend time with her sons to deal with the situation and improve. Now, the singer has been spotted in public for the first time since the arrest.

Britney Spears spotted in public after DUI arrest

Netizens and fans online posted photos of the ‘Toxic’ singer out in public in Malibu, California. In the photo, the singer was wearing a long brown coat while standing in line at a popular coffee shop to order at the counter. Her hair was down, and she was also wearing a pair of sunglasses. She also carried a large orange bag.This is the first time the singer has appeared in public since she was taken into custody for driving rashly under the influence. California Post reported that the DUI case against Spears is under review. A statement from the report read, “The DUI case against Britney Spears has been submitted to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office and is under review by our prosecutors. Part of that review might include seeking additional information and evidence. A filing decision will be made before the scheduled May 4, 2026, court date.”

About Britney Spears’ DUI case

On March 4, the singer was arrested and taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol in Ventura County. At the time, she was reportedly seen driving rashly after spending some time with a friend. Her manager issued a notice about the matter as per Page Six reports, and cited, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
