'Biker' box office collection day 1: Sharwanand's motocross drama opens strong; Film crosses Rs 2 crore net

Sharwanand starrer motocross sports action drama film ‘Biker’ hit the theatres on April 3. Early audience reactions describe it as a touching father-son racing film. Day 1 box office update

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Biker’ collected a net of Rs 2.10 Cr across 2,033 shows on day 1. This brings total India gross collections to Rs 2.41 Cr so far. The overall occupancy stood at 22.5 percent.Telugu version led the charge with Rs 2.05 Cr net. Tamil version contributed a modest Rs 5 lakhs from 183 shows at 18.0 percent occupancy.

Telugu (2D) recorded 23.0 percent overall occupancy across 1,850 shows. Morning shows saw 17.92 percent while afternoon rose to 26.15 percent. Evening and night shows maintained around 24 percent and 23.69 percent respectively.Tamil (2D) had lower turnout with 10.61 percent overall occupancy and the morning shows registered 8.00 percent and afternoon dipped to 6.71 percent. Evening and night figures remained soft at 7.00 percent and 5.43 percent.
