Bihar Home Guard recruitment 2026: Bihar is set to witness a large-scale government recruitment drive as approval has been granted for 13,500 Home Guard posts under Bihar Home Guard Recruitment 2026. The selection process will include a Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Test, and Document Verification.The application start and end dates, along with PET schedules, will be announced in the official notification. The recruitment falls under the government exam category and is specific to Bihar state candidates meeting prescribed criteria.Eligibility criteria and age limitsCandidates applying must have passed 12th grade or an equivalent examination recognised by the state government. The minimum age is set at 19 years, while the maximum age limit is 40 years.Applicants from all categories, including male, female, and third gender, are eligible. Female candidates must have a minimum height of 153 cm, while third gender candidates will follow the same criteria.Chest measurement for male candidates is fixed at 31 inches (unexpanded). Meeting these standards is mandatory for progression.PET structure and evaluationThe Physical Efficiency Test will be conducted at the district level and carries 15 marks. It begins with biometric verification, followed by a running test.Candidates failing the run will be disqualified. Those who qualify will undergo height and chest measurements.
