The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the results for the 10th class (Matric) exam, also called the Class 10 (Matric) Result 2026. The overall pass percentage is 81.79 percent. Even though more than 12.35 lakh students have cleared the exam successfully, there are some students who could not pass. However, there are a number of options through which students will not miss their academic year.Compartment exams for those who could not passStudents who could not pass in one or two subjects need not worry, as there is a provision for compartment exams conducted by the Bihar Board. This will help them to appear for those subjects again and improve their results within the same academic year. The application for compartment exams will be conducted online from April 1 to April 7, 2026.Special exams for those who could not appear for exams earlierApart from compartment exams, there will also be special exams for those students who could not appear for their exams earlier or need a second chance. The application for this will also be conducted online within the same dates.• Live Updates on BSEB Bihar Board 10th Result 2026 Apply for scrutiny if marks are incorrectStudents who feel their marks are lower than expected can apply for scrutiny. This process will allow the Board to re-evaluate the marks to ensure that there are no errors. This application will also be accepted from April 1 to April 7.Results of compartment exams by May-endThe Bihar Board has announced that the results for compartment and special exams will be announced by May 31, 2026. This will allow students to pursue their studies without delays. They can attend the next academic session.Minimum passing criteria still at 33%Students who wish to pass their Matric exams need to score at least 33 percent marks in each subject. Students who fail to achieve this can apply for the options made available.Stay Positive and Plan AheadFailure in the Matric examination does not mean the end of the road for a student. With the option of scrutiny, compartment, and special examinations, the student has many choices to pass and proceed with their education without any break.
