The 2026 BAFTAs will be held on Sunday, February 22, at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. The award ceremony has been taking place at this venue since 2023.
Who is hosting BAFTA 2026?
The 79th BAFTA Ceremony will be hosted by Alan Cumming. The actor, writer, and producer succeeds David Tennant, who fronted the ceremony in 2024 and 2025.Cumming said he was pleased to return to the BAFTA stage in a hosting role, describing the ceremony as an opportunity to celebrate filmmaking craft while keeping the evening lively.

The BAFTA nominations were unveiled on 27 January 2026. The films that received the most nominations include: ‘One Battle After Another’ with 14 nominations, followed by ‘Sinners’ with 13 nominations, And ‘Hamnet’ and ‘Marty Supreme’ with 11 nominations each.
