NEW DELHI: The admit card for the entrance examination of Jay Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Lucknow, has been released. Candidates who have registered for admission can now download their hall tickets from the official portal of the Social Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh.The admit card was scheduled to be released on March 10, 2026, but it was made available online on March 11, 2026.Entrance Examination on March 15According to the official schedule, the entrance examination for admission to the Government Ashram System Schools will be conducted on March 15, 2026. Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid identity proof to the examination centre.The results of the entrance test are expected to be declared on March 23, 2026.Admission Eligibility CriteriaAdmission to Government Ashram Vidyalayas will be granted to students whose parents fall below the poverty line. The annual income limits are:• Rs 46,080 for families in rural areas• Rs 56,460 for families in urban areasIf the number of students in classes other than Grade 6 is less than 70, admissions may also be granted through a lateral entry examination for candidates from outside.Admission Process for Higher ClassesAdmissions to Grades 7, 8 and 9 will be conducted through a school-level entrance examination. For Grade 11, vacant seats will be filled based on merit determined by Class 10 marks.Applicants can access the admit card through the direct link available on the Admission Testing System portal:Faculty Determination in Grade 11For higher secondary classes, different streams will be offered based on eligibility and demand:Science Stream: Schools will admit 70 students per class. Students must have at least 60% aggregate marks and 55% marks in Science and Mathematics in Class 10.Commerce Stream: One school at the district level will establish a Commerce faculty.Humanities Stream: Admissions will depend on the number of students who passed Class 10, their electives, and their interests.
