Arijit Singh, Aamir Khan accused of entering a West Bengal college without permission in a now-deleted Facebook post

Aamir Khan was recently seen visiting Arijit Singh at his home in West Bengal after the singer announced his retirement from playback singing. And now allegations surfaced that they entered a government college campus in West Bengal late at night without taking prior permission. The claims were made by Ajoy Adhikari, the principal of Rani Dhanya Kumari Government College in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, who alleged that the two celebrities visited the premises past midnight without informing the authorities.Adhikari initially took to social media to share CCTV footage that allegedly shows Aamir Khan, Arijit Singh and several others entering the college campus around 1:05 a.m. The post, which was later deleted, questioned why the two should be exempt from seeking permission simply because of their celebrity status.According to the principal, the CCTV visuals, dated February 4 and later shared by Bengali media outlet Satya Darpan on Facebook, show the group arriving on motorcycles and getting off them inside the campus. Adhikari further claimed that the visitors played badminton inside the indoor games hall, carried out a shoot, and exited the premises around 2:25 a.m.In his now-deleted Facebook post, Adhikari raised strong objections, writing, “My question is: At such a late hour, without informing the college (permission aside), they clearly did not come for social or personal reasons. They came for commercial purposes and used the college premises without authorisation, even influencing the local night guard. Just because they are famous, can they do whatever they want? Are government educational institutions to be treated with such disregard?”

After removing the videos from his account, the principal shared another post claiming that he was compelled to delete them. Responding to comments, he wrote in Bengali that he was shocked to see people continuing to offer unsolicited opinions even after the post was taken down. He expressed disappointment that, instead of viewing the issue ethically, many were blindly supporting individuals they admire.“Have people completely lost the ability to think and judge from a moral and intellectual standpoint? Except for a handful, most students seem utterly unconcerned about the institution’s dignity and its social and constitutional rights,” he wrote in Bengali. Concluding his remarks, Adhikari said he felt completely defeated, as though he had failed entirely.
