Nissan Gravite India launch on Feb 17: What to expect, details

Nissan India has confirmed that its upcoming budget MPV, the Gravite, will be launched in the country on February 17. The seven-seater was originally planned to debut earlier but saw its unveiling pushed back. The Gravite name was officially revealed by Nissan in December 2025, along with teaser images that offered the first look at the MPV’s design. Here’s a quick look at what we can expect from the model.

Nissan Gravite: All you need to know

From what has been teased so far, the Nissan Gravite will be based on the same platform as the Renault Triber, though it will carry a distinct Nissan identity. The front end features a redesigned grille with the Nissan badge. It also features a lot of chrome accents. The headlamps appear to have a revised shape, and the bonnet gets a pronounced sculpted element. In terms of side profile, the MPV is expected to get newly-designed alloy wheels and roof rails.

At the rear, the Gravite will come with updated tail-lamps and a reworked bumper. Chrome detailing continues here as well, while the Gravite name will be clearly displayed across the tailgate to differentiate it from its Renault sibling.Mechanically, the Gravite is expected to mirror the Triber. Power is likely to come from a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder NA petrol engine producing 72 hp and 96 Nm of torque. As for transmission, you can expect a choice between a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT.The Nissan Gravite is an important model for the brand as it looks to strengthen its presence in India’s competitive and price-sensitive MPV segment. Following the Gravite’s launch, Nissan has already confirmed one more product for India, the Tekton SUV, which will compete in the highly-competitive mid-size SUV segment.
