In her recent interaction with Bazaar India, Deepika opened up about life as a new mom and the little things that fill her days with joy. When asked about her current obsession, the actress smiled and said, “Not current, I’m going to remove ‘current’ from it. My obsession is my daughter.” She went on to narrate a few amusing stories about her baby girl, Dua. Talking about what’s inside her bag, Deepika revealed with a laugh, “The weirdest thing in my bag? There was a piece of thepla that she (Dua) was eating, and I found it after two days.” The actress also shared how she sings “head, shoulder, knees and toes” for Dua. And when the conversation turned to a phrase she often repeats, Deepika tenderly admitted, “In a good way, I’ve been saying I love you a lot to my baby.”

On September 8, 2024, Ranveer and Deepika welcomed their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. A couple of months later, the proud parents explained the beautiful meaning behind her name: “Dua meaning a prayer, because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude.” When Dua turned one, the duo shared her cute photos, which instantly captured hearts and took over social media.
Deepika Padukone to return to films with ‘King ’
On the work front, Deepika is all set to return to the big screen post-motherhood with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film features an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Raghav Juyal, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Saurabh Shukla, among others, in pivotal roles. ‘King’ is slated for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
