Aditi Rao Hydari could hardly contain her excitement while discussing ‘O Saathi Re,’ a project she fantasized about collaborating on with the renowned director Imtiaz Ali ever since their work on ‘Rockstar.’ She praised the exhilarating atmosphere on set, crediting Ali’s vibrant energy as both a showrunner and a writer, alongside the directorial acumen of Arif Ali.

Aditi Rao Hydari recently revealed that she could not contain her excitement after she got to land ‘O Saathi Re’, one of her upcoming projects. Aditi Rao Hydari reveals more deets about upcoming project ‘O Saathi Re’

While talking to Pinkvilla about her latest film ‘Gandhi Talks’, which is already in theatres, Hydari also shared some details about her upcoming project, ‘O Saathi Re.’ She cited that Imtiaz Ali is one of her favorite directors, and that she has “craved” to work with him on another project after ‘Rockstar.’

She recalled what it was like working with him on the sets of ‘O Saathi Re’ and called the experience really exciting as he was always on the move and saw everyone in real time as they acted. She further added, “So that greed to do a complete film with him still remains. Even in O Saathi Re, he was there for some portions. Quite a bit of it was also directed by Arif Ali. Imtiaz was the showrunner and the writer. He was also directing certain parts. His energy and just the way he thinks, on the spur of the moment.”

About ‘O Saathi Re’

A post on social media announcing the series described it as a contemporary love story. The description read, “Imtiaz Ali’s ‘O Saathi Re’…an ode to the vintage feeling of love in contemporary times. Starring Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwary & Arjun Rampal. Directed by Arif Ali.?”In a video uploaded along with it, Imtiaz Ali talked about the project and added, “I feel both relieved and excited at having Arif direct the stellar cast of Avinash Aditi and Arjun (all aces there) and it is the ever-strengthening relationship with Netflix that enabled us to enter the deceptively charming world of O Saathi Re.”The project was announced almost a year ago; however, no official release date has been set for the web series. It will be made available on Netflix sometime in the future.
