It was first believed that the film’s direction would be assumed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Thereafter, Sundar C was apparently confirmed and was at an advanced stage of negotiation. However, Sundar C’s exit also led to speculation. Furthermore, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were apparently wanting a comedy film rather than a serious movie. Therefore, it was humor and dark comedy preferred over serious content, and the writer who signed off was Nelson Dilipkumar.
A special promo is planned to officially announce the collaboration
In order to make a big announcement, the makers are planning a special promo video to lift the veil on the Rajinikanth-Kamal Hasan-Nelson collaboration. The shoot for the special promo will kick off next week. Instead of the usual poster outing, the team is planning a flashy announcement to show the grandeur of this project.
Shooting timeline linked to Rajinikanth’s current commitments
There are also reports that the complete shape of the Nelson-Kamal-Rajini movie will occur only after the completion of Rajinikanth’s current projects, including his next movie, tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 173,’ with the announcement that Cibi Chakravarthy will be the director. After finishing all those works, this mega-multi-starrer will go to the sets.
