“Aakhri baar khul kar roe kab the?”: Security guard’s emotional confession about daughter’s bidaai leaves netizens emotional

Some emotions are felt only at certain moments in life, and for many fathers, the most emotional chapter is their daughter’s wedding. Now a viral social media clip is touching hearts for portraying those emotions in the simplest yet honest way. In an Instagram video (shared by user @_.soulshine), a security guard was asked a deeply personal question: “Aakhri baar khul kar kab roe the?” (“when was the last time you cried your heart out?”). The man emotionally answered, “Jab beti ko vida kiya tha (“When I bid farewell to my daughter after her wedding”).As the conversation continued, the man opened up about the deep emotional bond fathers share with their daughters. The father said, “Sabse priya beti hai, jitna priya beta nahi hota baap ke liye (“A daughter is the dearest to a father, even more than a son.”)

Speaking emotionally about a daughter’s bidaai, he added, “Jab vo jaati hai tab baap ka sab kuchh chala jata hai, kuchh nahi rehta uske paas” (“When she leaves, it feels like a father loses everything; nothing remains with him”).Calling daughters a blessing in a father’s life, he also said, “Baap ke liye beti bohot lucky hoti hai. Jab hamari beti ne janam liya tha toh vo bohot kuchh leke aai thi” (“A daughter is very lucky for a father. When our daughter was born, she brought a lot of happiness and good fortune into our lives”). Many users resonated with the father’s feelings, Some shared that his words reminds them of their own fathers while some remembered their daughters. Certainly the man’s words beautifully reflected the deep and irreplaceable bond between a father and daughter.
