Mouni Roy, Suraj Nambiar confirm separation, slam false narratives and sensationalisation: 'Taking time to address matters amicably'

After rumours and speculations since the last two days regarding their separation, Mouni and Suraj have finally confirmed that they are parting ways. The duo shared a joint statement on social media to confirm the news and have requested further privacy in the matter. The statement shared by them read, “We note with dismay the unnecessary and intrusive attention into our personal lives by certain quarters of the media. We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably.” The note further read, “Attempts have been made to sensationalise our private lives by circulation of fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods which do not reflect the reality of our relationship. After thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities, we have mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding. At this point, we are focused on navigating this phase thoughtfully and privately.” They concluded by saying, “We will endeavour to cherish our friendship in times to come. We sincerely appreciate your understanding, respect for our privacy and continued support extended to us during this time.” Mouni shared this note with the caption, “Humbly requesting everyone to give us privacy and dignity and not give out any false stories about me or Suraj. Expecting all of you to give us privacy in these hard times. Humble request to all the media houses to please stop . Love Suraj & Mouni”Mouni tied the knot with Suraj on January 27, 2022, in Goa. Their wedding celebrations included both a traditional Malayali ceremony and a Bengali wedding. Originally from Bengaluru, Suraj works as a businessman and investment banker and was reportedly based in Dubai before his marriage to Mouni. Throughout their relationship, the couple frequently gave fans a glimpse into their personal life by sharing photos from vacations, romantic outings and special occasions on Instagram.
