Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of Prateek Yadav, husband of Aparna Yadav and son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.In a post on X, Yogi Adityanath described Prateek Yadav’s untimely death as “extremely saddening” and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.The chief minister said he prayed to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family to bear the loss. Later, Yogi, along with deputy CM Keshav Maurya, reached Yadav’s residence to pay tributes.UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary too reached Yadav’s residence in the afternoon and paid tribute to the departed soul. In a condolence message, Chaudhary described the news as “extremely heartbreaking” and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength for the family to endure the immense loss.Chaudhary also directed that all party programmes be deferred in view of the untimely death of Prateek. This included the statewide agitation against SP MP Ajendra Singh for his derogatory comment on PM Modi.Deputy chief minister Keshav Maurya said, “It is tragic. Whenever such an unfortunate event occurs at such a young age, it is truly heart-wrenching. Our deepest condolences go out to the family and supporters, and we pray to God to grant them the strength to bear this immense grief.”Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak termed the news “extremely saddening” and prayed for peace to the departed soul.BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj also visited Aparna Yadav’s home. Here, he was greeted by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.Congress legislative party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona too reached Yadav’s residence to meet the bereaved family members.The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Rai also expressed his grief over the sudden passing of Prateek Yadav. Likewise, Congress Uttar Pradesh in-charge Avinash Pande issued a statement mourning Prateek’s death.
