'Not even a single person looked at me,' Rajinikanth’s ego-shattering experience goes viral

Rajinikanth is known not only for his blockbuster films but also for his witty and emotional speeches at public events. Recently, the superstar once again grabbed attention while speaking at a special event hosted by spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Bengaluru. During the celebration of the ashram’s 45th anniversary and Gurudev’s 70th birthday, Rajinikanth shared a memorable incident that taught him an important life lesson about ego and spirituality.

Rajinikanth on peaceful ashram experience

Rajinikanth shared how much he loved the calm atmosphere of the Art of Living Ashram. As reported by PTI, he said, “I really enjoy living in this ashram… there is greenery, lakes, cows, and so many animals, and everyone is always smiling.” He added that he originally planned to stay only two days, but ended up staying for 15 days because of the peaceful environment. The actor said the place made him feel relaxed like nowhere else, even after visiting the Himalayas.

Rajinikanth’s ego-shattering moment

The superstar then narrated the incident that “crushed his ego” in a funny yet honest way. He recalled going with Gurudev for a darshan attended by thousands of devotees. Rajinikanth said, “I thought many people would come near me… I also saw many Tamil people there.” But what happened next surprised him the most. He revealed, “To be frank, not even a single person looked at me. I was waving, but nobody saw me.” He added laughingly, “I have attended many events, but this one crushed my ego.” The crowd responded with loud cheers and laughter.

Rajinikanth’s statement grabs attention

Rajinikanth explained that the experience changed his thinking completely. He said, “It disturbed my mind… but that day I understood the power of spirituality.” He further added a strong message about fame: “Stardom comes and goes. But spiritual stardom is supreme. Even after death, it stays and grows.” His speech quickly went viral online, with fans praising his humility and storytelling style.On the work front, Rajinikanth has finished shooting for ‘Jailer 2’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film also features Ramya Krishnan, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles, along with several other stars.
