MTech in cyber security for working professionals

Bhubaneswar: In a move aimed at addressing the rising demand for skilled cyber security professionals, IIT Bhubaneswar launched an industry-linked MTech programme in cyber security in collaboration with WhizHack Technologies, a cyber security training and simulation company.The blended-mode programme, designed specifically for working professionals, seeks to combine academic learning with practical industry exposure to prepare learners for emerging digital security challenges across sectors such as critical infrastructure, finance, governance, defence and enterprise security.According to the institute, the programme was introduced amid growing concerns over cyber threats and the increasing need for trained professionals capable of handling advanced digital security systems. The flexible format will allow participants to continue their professional engagements while pursuing higher education through online classes integrated with focused on-campus immersion sessions.The programme is scheduled to commence on July 24.
