‘Karuppu’ bags special shows for 2 days as TN Government gives a big boost to Suriya and Trisha Krishnan starrer

‘Karuppu’ starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan has been granted a special permission for its shows from the Tamil Nadu government ahead of its grand theatrical release on May 14. The announcement has created huge excitement among fans who have been eagerly waiting for the film. The movie, which is directed by RJ Balaji, has already created quite a stir with the release of its trailer and songs. With expectations growing rapidly, the latest government approval has further increased the hype around the film’s release.

‘Karuppu’ gets two-day special show permission in Tamil Nadu

According to the official government order, the makers had requested permission to screen special shows for the film on May 14 and May 15. After reviewing the request, the Tamil Nadu government approved special screenings for both days under the theatre regulation rules. The order allows theatres to screen the film from 9 AM until 2 AM the following day, with a maximum of five shows per day. In addition, theatre managers are being asked to take all safety precautions, crowd management techniques, and traffic regulations into account.

Suriya-Trisha reunion and trailer response boost expectations

Some of the biggest stars of the movie include Trisha Krishnan and Suriya, who reunite on-screen after a long gap. Aditionally, other cast members in ‘Karuppu’ include Swasika, Yogi Babu, Natti, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Indrans. Fans are also excited about the intense conflict shown between Suriya and RJ Balaji’s character in the film.

Advance bookings rise as fans celebrate ‘Karuppu’ special shows

Following the government’s announcement, advance bookings for Karuppu have reportedly picked up speed across several theatres in Tamil Nadu. Fans are celebrating the decision online, with many planning first-day and late-night shows for the movie. The film features music composed by Sai Abyankkar.
