'Mortal Kombat II' box office collection Day 3: Karl Urban starrer ends debut weekend in India with Rs 5.40 crore haul; outperforms Neetu Kapoor's 'Daadi Ki Shaadi'

‘Mortal Kombat II’ continued its steady run at the Indian box office over its opening weekend. The Hollywood action sequel managed to maintain a firm hold at the ticket windows and emerged ahead of competing Hindi release ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’.‘Mortal Kombat II’ box office collection Day 3As per reports on sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 1.85 crore net on Day 3 across 4,513 shows. The Karl Urban-starrer opened on a promising note on Friday with a Rs 1.40 crore net collection, followed by strong growth on Saturday with the film earning Rs 2.15 crore. However, on Sunday, the film experienced a moderate decline, earning Rs 1.85 crore.A closer look at the Day 3 language-wise performance, the film’s English version remained the strongest contributor, earning approximately Rs 97 lakh on Sunday. The dubbed versions delivered comparatively modest returns. The Hindi version contributed around Rs 59 lakh, while the Telugu dubbed release earned an estimated Rs 17 lakh and the Tamil version added approximately Rs 12 lakh.‘Mortal Kombat II’ gross total collectionsWith its latest earnings, the film’s total India gross collection now stands at Rs 6.38 crore, while its India net collection has reached Rs 5.40 crore after three days in theatres.‘Mortal Kombat II’ international box office collectionsAt the North American box office, ‘Mortal Kombat II’ took in USD 40 million in its first weekend and an estimated USD 23 million from overseas markets.‘Mortal Kombat II’ vs ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’Despite the Sunday slowdown, ‘Mortal Kombat II’ comfortably outperformed Neetu Kapoor’s Daadi Ki Shaadi over the weekend. The Hindi family drama earned an estimated Rs 1.70 crore on Day 3 and concluded its first weekend with a total India gross collection of Rs 4.14 crore and Rs 3.45 crore net. However, it must be noted that ‘Mortal Kombat II’ played across more than 4,500 shows, while ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’ was limited to approximately 1,655 shows, significantly restricting its reach.
