‘Karuppu’ trailer OUT NOW: Suriya shows off ‘godly power’ while Trisha Krishnan stuns as a lawyer

Tamil superstar Suriya and Trisha Krishnan will next be seen in the upcoming action-fantasy drama Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji. As the film gears up to hit theatres next week, the makers unveiled its trailer, where the leads don advocates’ gowns, and fans cannot seem to get enough of it.

‘Karuppu’ trailer released

The trailer opens with hundreds of lawyers protesting and chanting, “We want justice” repeatedly. Trisha Krishnan appears on screen as a lawyer trying to convince RJ Balaji’s character, ‘Baby’ Kannan, to back off.The following scenes show a young girl arriving at court with her father in an attempt to recover their money. While Kannan takes up their case, he repeatedly misses court dates, causing the hearings to be postponed time and again. When they protest against the delays, the lawyer harasses them and tells them that no one else will take up their case.The rest of the trailer features high-octane action sequences involving Lord Karuppu, played by Suriya. The trailer ends with the actor standing before a massive crowd and saying, “This is for all my beloved fans out there!”

Earlier, the teaser introduced Suriya in dual roles. One character was shown as a lawyer named Saravanan, dressed in white and speaking calmly. However, the teaser also hinted at his dangerous side. The second character appeared in black attire and carried an aruval, presenting a more violent and fearless persona.Apart from the lead pair, the film also stars Yogi Babu, Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, Natty, Supreeth Reddy, and Anagha Maya Ravi in key roles. RJ Balaji will also appear in a cameo role.The movie marks RJ Balaji’s first collaboration with a top-tier star like Suriya.Additionally, the narrative of Karuppu is said to feature high-energy sequences and engaging interval blocks. Sai Abhyankkar has composed the music for the film. The movie is set to release on May 14, 2026, in multiple languages.
