The official website, hpbose.org, witnessed an unprecedented surge in traffic as thousands of students simultaneously logged in to check their marksheets, leading to server overload and repeated access failures.Students across the state reported slow loading pages, login errors, and complete unavailability of the result link. The technical breakdown has left many candidates unable to access their scorecards through the primary portal.
DigiLocker emerges as key alternative
In view of the website crash, HPBOSE has provided an alternative digital route through DigiLocker. Students can access their provisional marksheets by logging in using their Aadhaar-linked credentials. The digitally signed documents are valid for immediate academic use, including admission to Class 11 and other courses until original certificates are issued by schools.Steps to download scorecards from DigiLockerStep 1: Visit the official DigiLocker website or open the DigiLocker mobile application.Step 2: Log in using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar-linked credentials. New users must first complete the registration process.Step 3: Go to the “Issued Documents” or “Education” section on the dashboard.Step 4: Select Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) from the list of education boards.Step 5: Click on Class 10 Marksheet 2026.Step 6: Enter the required details, including roll number and year of examination.Step 7: Submit the details to access the digitally signed provisional marksheet.Step 8: Download and save the scorecard for future reference and admission purposes.
SMS service for instant result access
To ensure uninterrupted access, the board has also activated an SMS-based result facility. Students can check their results by sending HP10 followed by their roll number to 56263. Within minutes, they receive a message containing subject-wise marks along with their final qualifying status—Pass, Fail, or Compartment.
School support for result verification
In cases where both online and SMS services are inaccessible, students are advised to contact their respective schools. Institutions have been provided access to consolidated result data and can assist candidates in verifying their scores.
Website expected to stabilise soon
Officials have indicated that the technical disruption is due to extremely high simultaneous traffic and is expected to ease gradually. Students are advised to avoid repeated refresh attempts and try accessing the portal after some time once server load reduces.
