India Post GDS 3rd merit list 2026: The India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) is expected to release the third merit list soon on the official website, indiapost.gov.in. It is expected to publish the 3rd merit list 2026 for all the remaining postal circles. After releasing the second merit list earlier this month, the India Post is now expected to publish the GDS 3rd merit list for all remaining postal circles, including the long-delayed lists for Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. The India Post had released the GDS 2nd merit list on April 10, 2026, but the results for Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal were withheld because the Model Code of Conduct was in force during the election period.Now that the election process has concluded, candidates from these states are expecting the pending merit lists to be uploaded alongside the third merit list for the remaining 19 postal circles.The recruitment drive is one of the biggest postal hiring exercises in recent years, with 28,636 vacancies announced for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and related posts across the country.

Candidates can follow the steps elucidated here to download the India Post GDS 3rd merit list:

  • Go to the official India Post website, indiapost.gov.in and open the recruitment section available on the homepage.
  • Click on “Online GDS Recruitment” and then select the “Click Here” link to access the recruitment portal.
  • On the left panel, open “Shortlisted Candidates: Schedule-1, January 2026” to view the available merit lists.
  • Select your respective postal circle or state from the list displayed on the screen.
  • Download the GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 PDF and check your result using the 7-digit registration number through Ctrl + F search.
