Anthony Edwards will be on the floor Friday night after all, giving the Minnesota Timberwolves a needed boost heading into a pivotal Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs. ESPN’s Anthony Slater shared the latest update before tipoff, writing: “Anthony Edwards is cleared for Game 3.”The report also added, “Ayo Dosunmu is out going through his normal pregame workout. Game-time decision still, per Finch.”Edwards played through the same injury during the first two games of the Western Conference semifinal series, although the Timberwolves have been careful with his workload. There is also no guarantee he will immediately return to the starting lineup. Rookie guard Terrence Shannon Jr. has handled increased minutes recently and could continue in that role while Minnesota eases Edwards back into full game shape.The Timberwolves badly need more production from their star guard after struggling offensively in Game 2.
