Palak Tiwari gushes about King in ‘Lukkhe’: 'My most favourite scenes are with him, he matched my energy in every sense'
Palak Tiwari stars in Chandigarh-set rap drama Lukkhe alongside rapper King, aka Arpan Kumar Chandel, making his acting debut. She calls him a phenomenal, generous co-star and praises their chemistry. Palak also applauds Hanumankind and India’s original rap scene. She earlier debuted in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ film.

Palak Tiwari makes her mark in the Chandigarh-based rap drama ‘Lukkhe’, playing a musician alongside singer-songwriter and rapper King, who steps into acting for the first time under his real name Arpan Kumar Chandel. Tiwari speaks warmly of the experience, describing King as a generous co-star who has taken to acting with remarkable ease. She also credits his influence for sparking her deeper curiosity about the Indian rap scene.

Palak Tiwari calls King a ‘phenomenal artist’

According to Variety India, Palak is full of praise for her co-star, saying, “Arpan is such a phenomenal artist. He brings out the best in everyone around him. Not because he’s trying to or is teaching you anything, but just because his energy is so high. ’Lukkhe’ is his first time acting, and some of my most favourite scenes in the show are with him. I’m very protective of our chemistry and what that did for our characters. He is so giving, both as a person and as an actor. He really matched my energy in every sense. We are both protective of the dynamic that our characters share. It was just so special. It’s funny speaking about him in a serious manner, because our relationship is rooted in banter! And that just makes it so much more fun. It shows in our characters as well.”

Palak Tiwari praises Hanumankind

Palak also takes a moment to speak about rapper Hanumankind, whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat, and what makes the Indian rap scene so compelling. “Not to be very mainstream, but I think everybody is a fan of Hanumankind, right? I think he is such a big deal. Usually, it’s always our culture that’s taken and reshaped elsewhere. But, the way Indians have owned rap… There’s no copying or stealing. It’s so original and earthy. The stories that we have to tell are so rooted, it’s exciting,” she says.

Palak Tiwari made her Bollywood debut alongside Salman Khan in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’

Meanwhile, Palak made her Bollywood debut alongside Salman Khan in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, taking on a supporting role in the film. While it received mixed reviews, Palak’s screen presence did not go unnoticed, with many selecting her as a promising newcomer despite the limited scope of her character. She is the daughter of popular television star Shweta Tiwari.
