Emotional Thapalathy Vijay's fan breaks down as he offers prayers outside his Chennai residence: 'He will definitely become CM'

In a video shared by PTI on X, the emotional supporter is seen kneeling outside Vijay’s house before bursting into tears. He also expressed disappointment over the reported removal of police security outside the residence.“He will definitely become the Chief Minister. News channels may say many things, but he is the one who will take that position. No matter how many obstacles come, he will overcome them and move forward,” the fan said emotionally.“I feel hurt. There is not even a single police officer here. After struggling so much to come this far, it is painful to see such things happening,” he added while trying to hold back tears.Another video circulating online reportedly showed that the security arrangements outside Vijay’s residence had been withdrawn. Reports suggest that until Wednesday, several police personnel had been stationed outside the actor’s home.

Kamal Haasan extends support to Vijay

Meanwhile, veteran actor and politician Kamal Haasan has publicly backed Vijay after Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam emerged as the single largest party in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Kamal penned a long note in Tamil and also praised Chief Minister M. K. Stalin for what he called his “political maturity”.“In the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections, the people have not granted any single party the authority to form a government independently. This result is unprecedented in Tamil Nadu’s history,” Kamal wrote.Referring to Stalin’s statement about respecting the people’s verdict and functioning as a responsible opposition, Kamal said he respected the DMK leader’s political maturity. The actor-politician further stated that Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam had won 108 seats and said not inviting him to form the government would amount to disrespecting the mandate given by the people of Tamil Nadu.“What I am speaking is not party politics. This is the policy voice of an Indian citizen. The verdict of the people of Tamil Nadu must be respected,” Kamal added.Vijay’s party secured 108 seats out of 234 in Tamil Nadu. With the majority mark standing at 118, the actor-politician currently needs the support of 10 MLAs to form the government. TVK’s performance has already sparked massive celebrations among fans and supporters across the state.
