PEOPLE recently reported that the ‘Maleficent’ star has officially listed her LA mansion for USD 29.85 million on the market. Originally, the site was bought by the actress for USD 24.5 million in 2017, as per another report from The Wall Street Journal. Situated directly in Los Angeles’s Los Feliz enclave, it is situated across two acres of land, and in the highest points of Laughlin Park.The mansion has centuries-old trees spread across the land, and even offers beautiful views of the nearby areas, including the Hollywood Hills and Griffith Observatory. Spreading across 11,000 square feet, the home has six bedrooms and 10 full bathrooms. The space even features separate privatised areas, showing that it has ample space for everyone and everything. The property features a private fitness studio, a guest cottage, a tea house, as well as a pool house and a private pool.
Who owned the Loz Feliz mansion before Angelina Jolie?
The property has a vastly rich history, as Jolie is not the first Hollywood celebrity to own the mansion in LA. This home’s legacy comes from filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, who is best known for ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’, ‘The Ten Commandments’, and ‘Sunset Boulevard’. He purchased the property back in 1916, and his family managed it until 1980.What makes it even more special is that a few years after he purchased the residence, he also bought and invested in the space next door, the Dodd residence. The space was previously owned by none other than Charlie Chaplin! As per the reports, the filmmaker had glass corridors made in order to connect the two properties. The work was done by architect Julia Morgan.The space has served as her primary residence ever since she and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, officially parted ways and finalized their divorce.
