Actor Kamaal R Khan, also known as KRK, has been placed in judicial custody following his involvement in the Oshiwara firing case. The Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court ordered his detention after his police remand concluded.

Actor and self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R Khan, who is popularly known as KRK, has been sent to judicial custody after he was involved in the Oshiwara firing case. According to the latest updates, after his police custody ended, the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court has ordered judicial custody.As per ANI, Kamaal R Khan will be staying in jail for the time being as the case is ongoing. It is also reported that the next hearing date will be decided later.

KRK produced before court

For the unversed, last week, the Mumbai Police took Kamaal R Khan into their custody. They did it after questioning him. Police said that KRK admitted that the firing was done using his licensed gun. Based on this, he was taken into custody. Earlier, a Bandra Court had sent him to police custody till January 27. After that period ended, he was produced before the Andheri court, which sent him to judicial custody.

What is the Oshiwara firing case?

The incident took place at a residential building in Oshiwara. A firing was reported and the Mumbai Police reached the spot for the investigation. The authorities checked the CCTV footage from nearby areas and spoke to many people who were present around the building. Officers are still collecting evidence and statements to understand what exactly happened.

KRK’s advocate denies all claims

KRK’s lawyer, advocate Nagesh Mishra, strongly denied the police claims. He said, “The entire case is fabricated. Kamaal Khan has been falsely implicated in this case.” He added, “The contention of the police is that I fired a bullet from my gun. But it is not correct.” The advocate explained, “The bullet has a maximum capacity of 20 metres, and the place where this gun was fired was at a distance of 400 metres. It is not possible.” He further said, “Many big names in Bollywood are instigating the police to implicate him in this case.” He also stated, “Kamaal R Khan has no connection with the firing incident.”
