JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 toppers: Kerala candidates lead as four secure perfect scores

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026 Session 2 Paper 2 results for Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor of Planning (BPlanning). Candidates can check their scores through the official JEE Main portal using their application number and date of birth.This year, four candidates secured a perfect 100 percentile score across Paper 2A and Paper 2B. Meera Krishna R S and Suryathejus S, both from Kerala, secured 100 percentile in Paper 2A for Bachelor of Architecture. In Paper 2B for Bachelor of Planning, Gowri Sankar V from Kerala and Sarthak Agarwal from Uttar Pradesh secured perfect scores.The NTA conducted the Session 2 examination on April 7, 2026, in one shift across 584 examination centres located in 319 cities, including 15 cities outside India. The examination was held in 13 languages.

Participation in JEE Main Paper 2

According to the NTA, 51,729 candidates registered for the Bachelor of Architecture Session 2 examination, of whom 38,914 appeared. In Bachelor of Planning, 22,051 candidates registered and 15,654 appeared for the examination.Overall, 94,513 candidates registered for the Bachelor of Architecture examination across sessions, while 67,139 appeared. For Bachelor of Planning, 45,729 candidates registered and 30,050 appeared.

Gender and category-wise participation

The NTA said that 1,00,913 candidates registered for JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 examinations, including 51,601 male candidates and 49,312 female candidates.Among registered candidates, 37,314 belonged to the Other Backward Classes Non Creamy Layer category, followed by 35,662 from the General category, 12,644 from the Scheduled Caste category, 9,270 from the General Economically Weaker Section category and 6,023 from the Scheduled Tribe category.A total of 71,423 candidates appeared for the examination, including 35,531 male candidates and 35,892 female candidates.

Female toppers in JEE Main 2026 Paper 2

Meera Krishna R S from Kerala emerged as the top female candidate in Bachelor of Architecture with a perfect 100 percentile score. In Bachelor of Planning, Meera Krishna R S also secured the top female position with an NTA score of 99.9808356.

The NTA clarified that NTA scores are normalised scores and are not equivalent to percentage marks. Final ranks have been prepared by considering the best of the two NTA scores secured by candidates across both sessions.
