Sunrisers Hyderabad’s commanding 41-run win over Punjab Kings has shaken up the IPL 2026 points table, pushing them to the top in a tightly contested season. Riding on strong performances from Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan, SRH posted a daunting 235/4 before restricting PBKS to 202/7. The result not only handed Punjab their third straight loss but also saw them slip from the summit to second place.. At the top, SRH now lead the standings with 14 points from 11 matches, winning seven and losing four, with a healthy net run rate of +0.737. Punjab Kings follow closely with 13 points from 10 games, including six wins, three losses and one no result, maintaining a strong NRR of +0.571 despite the defeat. Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit third with 12 points from nine matches and boast the best net run rate in the competition at +1.420. Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are level on 12 points as well, placed fourth and fifth respectively. RR have a slightly better NRR of +0.510 compared to GT’s -0.147, which could prove crucial in the playoff race. Chennai Super Kings remain in sixth position with 10 points from 10 games and an NRR of +0.151, still very much in the hunt. Delhi Capitals, in seventh, have eight points from 10 matches but their poor NRR of -0.949 continues to hurt their chances. Kolkata Knight Riders are eighth with seven points from nine games, including one no result, and an NRR of -0.539. Mumbai Indians are ninth with six points from 10 matches and an NRR of -0.649, needing a near-perfect finish to stay alive. At the bottom, Lucknow Super Giants have struggled the most, managing just two wins in nine matches. With four points and a net run rate of -1.076, their playoff hopes are hanging by a thread.
