The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has declared the Class 12 board exam results 2026 today, May 6, 2026. Candidates can access the scorecards from the official website, jacresults.com as well as DigiLocker. To qualify, students must secure a minimum of 33% overall, with subject-wise criteria set at 23 marks out of 70 and 33 out of 100, failing which they will be marked unsuccessful. Those dissatisfied with their performance have the option to appear for improvement exams, which will be conducted for theory papers while practical marks will remain unchanged. The results can be downloaded by visiting the official website. JAC also follows a structured grading system ranging from A+ for 80% and above to D for below 33%, while previous year data showed strong performances across streams with pass percentages reaching 79.26% in Science, 91.2% in Commerce, and 95.62% in Arts. Rashida Naaz from Dhanbad has emerged as the topper by accomplishing 489 marks. Check how girls and boys have fared in various streams.Science streamIn the JAC Class 12 Science Examination 2026, boys and girls performed almost equally, with a very slight edge for boys. A total of 54,319 boys appeared for the exam, out of which 45,101 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 83.02%. On the other hand, 35,849 girls appeared, and 29,670 of them passed, giving a pass percentage of 82.76%. Although more boys appeared and passed in absolute numbers, their failure count was also higher. Overall, the difference in performance between boys and girls is minimal, showing that both performed nearly at the same level, with boys just marginally ahead.Commerce streamIn the Class XII Examination Commerce stream, girls have performed better than boys in overall results. Among boys, a total of 12,067 students were enrolled, and 11,970 appeared for the exam. Out of them, 10,964 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 91.59 percent.On the other hand, 9,161 girls were enrolled, and 9,108 appeared for the examination. A total of 8,717 girls cleared the exam, registering a higher pass percentage of 95.70 percent. While 988 boys and 382 girls did not pass, the overall performance shows that girls have outshone boys in the commerce stream this year with a clear margin in pass percentage.Arts streamThe Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, Class 12 Arts Result 2026 shows that girls have performed better than boys overall. Out of 1,25,991 girls who appeared in the exam, 1,21,814 passed, taking their pass percentage to 96.68%. On the other hand, 85,104 boys appeared and 81,148 passed, with a pass percentage of 95.35%.In East Singhbhum, girls scored 98.17%, higher than boys who got 95.96%. In West Singhbhum, boys did slightly better with 98.41%, while girls scored 98.06%. In Seraikela Kharsawan, girls again performed better with 97.77% compared to boys at 95.96%. Overall, the results show that girls have done slightly better than boys in most districts.
