'Anupam Kher ke sar pe baal aajayenge lekin TMC..', the actor hilariously reacts to Samik Bhattacharya's jibe: 'Maine kya bigada?'

Actor Anupam Kher has responded to a viral remark about his bald head made by West Bengal BJP chief Samik Bhattacharya during a recent press interaction. The comment, which came in the aftermath of the BJP’s victory in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, quickly gained traction online—thanks in part to Kher’s witty comeback. The actor shared the clip on Instagram and replied with his trademark humour, leaving both fans and fellow celebrities amused. Among those reacting was Kangana Ranaut, who dropped laughing emojis in the comments.A day after the election results, Bhattacharya addressed the media and took a dig at the All India Trinamool Congress while speaking about its future in the state. He said, “Aasman zameen pe aa sakta hai, samundar aasman pe chadh sakta hai, Anupam Kher ke sir pe phir se baal aa sakta hai, lekin Trinamool Congress satta me aaye, ho hi nahi sakta hai (Even the impossible might happen — the sky may fall to the ground, the sea may rise to the sky, even hair may grow again on Anupam Kher’s head — but the Trinamool Congress can never return to power).“Reacting to the viral clip, Kher reposted it and wrote, “Arre bhaiya ji! Maine aapka kya bigaada hai! Kyun aap chahte ho ki mere sir par baal aa jaayein! Maujooda halaat mein janmon tak nahi chaahunga! Jai Shri Ram! (Oh brother! What harm have I done to you? Why do you want hair to grow on my head! In the current situation, I wouldn’t want that even in a hundred lifetimes! Jai Shri Ram!).” On the work front, Kher will next be seen in Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, directed by Prashant Bhagia. The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Savita Raj Hiremath and Raj Hiremath, also features Boman Irani, Parvin Dabas and Ranvir Shorey in key roles. The sequel to the 2006 cult hit is scheduled to hit theatres on August 28.
