Two rob businessman of Rs 11 lakh at gunpoint outside his home in Gurgaon
Police said preliminary inquiry suggests the accused may have followed the victim from his warehouse, located about 800 metres from his residence

Gurgaon: Two armed men allegedly looted Rs 11 lakh in cash from a businessman outside his residence in Sector 10A on Monday night.Police said the complainant, Abhay Bansal, runs a beverage warehouse near Khandsa Road. He returned home from work around 9.30pm carrying the cash in a bag. As he parked his car and stepped out, one of the accused, wearing a helmet, opened the passenger-side door and snatched the bag.When Bansal raised an alarm, the accused pointed a pistol at him. At the same time, an accomplice on a motorcycle, also wearing a helmet and armed, approached and threatened him, preventing any resistance. The snatcher then mounted the motorcycle, and both fled the spot.The incident was captured on CCTV cameras. Footage shows the two accused arriving on a motorcycle, briefly passing Bansal’s car before returning. Both, wearing helmets, walked towards the car as it was being parked. This was when one of them told the other to bring the motorcycle for their escape while he opened the car door and took the bag.Bansal is seen chasing them, but stops after being threatened with a weapon. “Before residents could gather, the robbers fled with the cash,” Bansal told TOI.Police said they received information around 9.35pm and reached the spot soon after. Preliminary inquiry suggests the accused may have followed the victim from his warehouse, located about 800 metres from his residence.Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against unidentified persons under relevant sections of BNS, including robbery with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt and criminal conspiracy, along with provisions of the Arms Act. Police teams are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas and along the suspected escape route to identify the accused.
