Democratic Ohio attorney general candidate Elliot Forhan announced a plan to execute President Donald Trump following a hypothetical trial and guilty verdict in a video posted to X on Tuesday. In the viral video, Forhan stated that he would pursue the president’s conviction, resulting in capital punishment. “Hi, this is Elliot Forhan, candidate for Ohio attorney general. I want to tell you what I mean when I say that I am going to kill Donald Trump,” he said in a video. “I mean I’m going to obtain a conviction rendered by a jury of his peers at a standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt based on evidence presented at a trial conducted in accordance with the requirements due process, resulting in a sentence, duly executed, of capital punishment. That is what I mean when I say that I am going to kill Donald Trump,” Forhan said.“I want to tell you what I mean when I say that I am going to kill Donald Trump,” Forham stated. “I mean I’m going to obtain a conviction rendered by a jury of his peers at a standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt based on evidence, presented at a trial conducted in accordance with the requirements of due process, resulting in a sentence, duly executed, of capital punishment.” “That is what I mean when I say I am going to kill Donald Trump,” he ended. Forhan announced his campaign for attorney general in February 2025. He previously served one term in the Ohio House of Representatives where he was stripped from his committee assignments and lost access to his office due to reported altercations with colleagues.
