BHOPAL: A 32-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in Sudama Nagar in Aishbagh area on Saturday afternoon. No suicide note was recovered, and preliminary investigation suggests he was under severe emotional distress after his girlfriend married his friend a few months ago. According to police, the deceased, Neeraj Meena, 32, lived alone in a rented house in Sudama Nagar, Aishbagh. His parents had passed away, and his sister is married and lives in Haryana. He worked in a private job. On Thursday afternoon around 2 pm, Neeraj allegedly died by suicide. His maternal uncle and grandmother told police that they had visited him earlier that morning and left around 11 am after giving him food. Family members revealed that Neeraj was in a relationship with a woman, but about two-and-a-half months ago, she married one of his friends. After this, he became deeply disturbed and started showing signs of depression. He often spoke incoherently and expressed suicidal thoughts. He also reportedly suffered from paranoia, claiming that unknown people were standing outside his house to kill him. Police said he was undergoing treatment for his condition.
