Marathi course by RTOs for auto drivers in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Auto and taxi drivers who learn Marathi will be issued a state govt certificate, and production of the certificate will be mandatory at the time of licence renewal, said transport minister Pratap Sarnaik on Tuesday after a meeting with heads of all 59 RTOs across Maharashtra.Sarnaik said facilities would be created at RTOs for drivers willing to learn Marathi. Training will be done jointly with Konkan Marathi Sahitya Parishad and Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh.
