Dhanush witnessed a massive turnout during his visit to Coimbatore for the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Kara’. Fans gathered in huge numbers from the airport to the event venue.Among several moments, one particular incident from the event has now gone viral.
Dhanush fan moment at pre-release event
At the Telugu pre-release event of Kara, a female fan approached Dhanush. She was seen kneeling before him as a gesture of deep admiration. The actor immediately asked her to stand up and he then posed for a picture with her.

The viral clip has also triggered mixed reactions online. Some netizens expressed concern over fans idolising celebrities.The video post, shared by Pinkvilla, received several critical comments. One user wrote, “DO NOT WORSHIP CELEBRITIES!!!!!! No matter how popular ,rich or powerful they are !!.”Another commented, “Why people start worshiping actors… Why.” A third added, “Why should actors be viewed peoples as gods?.”
Nostalgic moment with ‘Polladhavan’
Meanwhile, as reported by Hindustan Times, the event also featured a nostalgic moment.Dhanush was presented with a bike number plate referencing his film ‘Polladhavan’.The actor held it up and smiled at the audience. Speaking about the film, Dhanush called it a turning point in his career.He said, “Polladhavan was a turning point for me… before that, people used to call me very thin. When I suddenly appeared with a six-pack, it was the first time that people clapped for my body. There were whistles. It was a special film for me.”
Dhanush shares message for young fans
Dhanush also addressed his young fans with an inspiring message. He encouraged them to believe in their dreams and stay confident. He said, “Ennam Pol Vazhkai, it is in the Bhagavad Gita, which means: ‘What you think, you become’. We shouldn’t be having any doubts about success; we should truly manifest it ourselves. All could have laughed around 2002-2003 if I had told them I would get a National Award. But I strongly manifested that I will win a National Award one day. The time arrived.”
About ‘Kara’
In Kara, Dhanush plays a dacoit who carries out bank robberies in broad daylight. The story explores the consequences of his actions. The film’s trailer has already received positive responses online. It also features Mamitha Baiju and Suraj Venjaramoodu in important roles.
