IPL 2026: Virat Kohli fever peaks in Delhi; Metro offers big relief on DC vs RCB match day

NEW DELHI: The Virat Kohli frenzy has well and truly taken over Delhi. Fans are expected to turn up in huge numbers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, many sporting jerseys with “Kohli” or “Virat” on their backs. And once the IPL 2026 clash between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru gets underway, one chant is set to echo across the ground – “Kohli! Kohli!”Delhi is ready to welcome its biggest cricketing icon, and the excitement to watch him play at his home ground is palpable among fans.With massive crowds expected, authorities have made elaborate arrangements. Apart from heightened security and surveillance, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has stepped in to ease travel concerns for spectators by extending train services.In a big relief for cricket lovers, DMRC has announced extended last train timings on all lines on April 27 to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey for fans returning home after the night match.
