Olivia Rodrigo debuts heartbreaking new song with Weyes Blood at secret LA show: 'Karaokable if you’re sad'

Olivia Rodrigo has been teasing the release of her third studio album for months now. From hinting at a 2026 comeback last year in October to dropping the title track ‘Drop Dead’, the musician has been on a roll. With the album release two months away, fans have been waiting for new music, and Ridrigo made sure to surprise them at one of her latest performances.

The famed musician recently set out for an invite-only event at The Echo for an exclusive performance. While phones and recording devices were not allowed at the secret show, reports from fans and netizens present shared glimpses of the night on social media.Many confirmed that while Rodrigo sang many of her hits, the biggest surprise of the exclusive night was her bringing out fellow musician Weyes Blood on stage. This was followed by her singing another title track from her album.Fans described the song as a sad ballad, with vocals featured by Weyes Blood. Other than the unreleased song, Rodrigo had a 13-song set list for the show, which included her hits like ‘drop dead’, ‘drivers license’, ‘vampire’, ‘good 4 u’, and ‘so american’ to name a few. Another person posted that the singer called the new, unreleased song, “karaokable if you’re sad.”

Rodrigo and Geese frontman Cameron Winters were spotted out and about in public earlier this month, as reported by TMZ. They were spotted having dinner and wearing their casual best. While neither has confirmed anything at the time of writing, they have worked together on a charitable album.Other than that, the singer also surprised her fans at Coachella 2026. Although she was not part of the official line up, she joined Addison Rae on stage, and the two singers performed Rodrigo’s latest single ‘Drop Dead’ in front of everyone. Olivia Rodrigo’s latest album, ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’, is set for worldwide release on June 12.
