Streamer iGumdrop takes her cooking from Twitch to MasterChef and impresses Gordon Ramsay

The most well-known Twitch creator iGumdrop has entered into a new level in her career, as she is currently one of the contestants of the sixteenth season of MasterChef. The thing that iGumdrop is well known for is her food recipes which she streams on different social media channels. With over two million followers on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and Instagram, she has made a name for herself.Now, she is bringing her cooking skills from the internet to a real-life cooking show. This new season is called MasterChef Global Gauntlet, where home cooks from different parts of the world compete. iGumdrop shared the news with her fans on April 23 through a short video. In the clip, she proudly showed her MasterChef apron, representing Team Asia-Pacific. This moment was very special for her and her followers.

In the course of the competition, iGumdrop was lucky enough to have an opportunity to cook in front of the renowned chef Gordon Ramsay. The dish that she prepared was wagyu beef satay in peanut sauce with coconut rice.While cooking, she told Ramsay that she wants to put Malaysian food on the map. Ramsay liked her passion and praised her. He also said her social media following is “incredible.” But iGumdrop made it clear that she is not there for fame. She said she wants to prove that her food tastes good.As she cooked, Ramsay even said, “This smells amazing,” and told her not to overcook the wagyu. This showed that he was impressed by her dish.The show follows a special format where cooks from different regions compete. Each contestant must earn a white apron to move forward. iGumdrop did just that. She secured her apron for Team Asia-Pacific with her tasty dish.The judges loved her food. Chef Tiffany Derry called her plate “beautiful,” and Ramsay said it was “authentic” and “delicious.” Her success on the show shows how far she has come from her streaming days.In the end, iGumdrop’s journey from online videos to a big cooking show is inspiring.
