Zanai Bhosle, granddaughter of the late playback legend Asha Bhosle, is set to make her acting debut with Sandeep Singh’s historical film ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’. The film stars Rishab Shetty and features Zanai as Rani Sai Bhonsale, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s first wife. Zanai shared an emotional Instagram post for her grandmother, giving fans a glimpse of the family’s grief.

Zanai Bhosle’s debut film with Rishab Shetty
According to Gulf News, Zanai will appear opposite Rishab Shetty in the multilingual historical drama. She will play Rani Sai Bhonsale in the film directed by Sandeep Singh.The project is planned for release in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali. It is scheduled to open in theaters on January 21, 2027.Zanai was born in Mumbai in 2002 and comes from a family closely linked to music and films. Her father, Anand Bhosle, has worked as an actor. Before moving into films, Zanai explored music, releasing songs such as ‘Main Heer Teri’ and ‘Kehndi Hai’, along with a few remakes.Asha Bhosle was one of India’s most influential voices. Tributes came from across the film industry and public life, including Ranveer Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and AR Rahman.
