The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the UGC NET December 2025 e-certificates for qualified candidates. The documents are now available on the official portal and can be downloaded online using login credentials. The release follows the completion of the December 2025 examination cycle, which was held across the country from December 31, 2025 to January 7, 2026. A total of 7,35,592 candidates appeared for the computer-based test, and over 1.76 lakh candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility, and PhD admissions.

- Visit the official website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/
- On the Latest News section click on the link on e-certificate
- On clicking, you will be taken to the login page
- Login with application number and date of birth
- Submit to access the dashboard
- Download the e-certificate PDF

UGC NET certificate validity
The UGC NET e-certificate serves as proof of eligibility for Assistant Professor positions and carries lifetime validity. For candidates awarded the Junior Research Fellowship, the JRF award letter issued alongside the certificate is valid for three years from the date of issue. These documents are required during faculty recruitment, PhD admissions, and fellowship verification.
UGC NET certificate categories to check
The UGC NET certificate is not issued under a single category. Depending on performance and cut-offs, candidates may be awarded different eligibility statuses. These include:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) only
- JRF along with eligibility for Assistant Professor
- Eligibility for Assistant Professor and admission to PhD
- Admission to PhD only
