Sita Navami is one of the most significant days in Hindu religion. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Goddess Sita. Sita Navami is believed to be observed one month following Ram Navami. Sita Navami is also celebrated as Janaki Navami. People celebrate this day with immense devotion and purity and they offer their sincere prayers to Mata Sita, the cosort of Lord Shri Ram. She is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Laxmi, according to the Hindu Scriptures, and she is wed to Shri Ram, the prince of Ayodhya and an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Ramcharitmanas is totally based on the life of Goddess Sita and Lord Rama. Goddess Sita’s life narrative serves as an example for all women. Despite being the wife of Lord Shri Ram and a princess of Mithila, her life was never simple. Along with her husband, Lord Rama, and brother-in-law, Laxman, she was banished to Vanvaas during her early years. The demon king Ravana kidnapped her there and sent her to his realm of Lanka without compromising her dignity. Her children, Luv and Kush, were born at Valmiki Rishi Ashram after she underwent Agni Pariksha to demonstrate her purity.
